About The Event

Learn how to confidently sail in sheltered waters. This first step session is aimed at beginners and is an ideal way to learn the basics of sailing. By the end of the session you should be well under way to sailing your own dinghy confidently in sheltered water and have a good understanding of the principles of safe sailing. 
 
The session will cover, Rigging/De-rigging, Launching/recovery of boats, Turning your boat through the wind and sailing a course set out by the instructor.

What's Included

2 and half hours of sailing with expert instruction and all equipment provided including buoyancy aids and wetsuits.  Each participant will also receive a certificate on completion of their course. Changing area with showers will be available on the day of the sessions. 

What to Bring

  • Old trainers that you don’t mind getting wet 
  • Swimwear for under your wetsuit
  • Towel and toiletries
