About The Event

A fantastic opportunity for the kids to learn to row in a fun environment with others their own age.
Open to ages 11-18 with all levels of fitness welcome.
Each session will be led by a qualified cox from Portaferry Coastal Rowing Club
 
Have a go at rowing on the Gilpin skiff, Portaferry Coastal Rowing Club is offering a juniors weekend in the summer for kids to
get fit, have fun and enjoy the scenery on a rowing session.  Each session will last 30 minutes and you will be led by a fully trained cox and two experienced rowers from members of the Portaferry Coastal Rowing Club.

On arrival you will be given a 10-minute briefing on health and safety and introduction to rowing.  Life Jackets will be provided and MUST be worn at all times, these will be handed to you on arrival and returned when you finish and are out of the boat.

  • Suitable clothing for exercise, you will not get wet nor will you need a wet suit or swimming clothing
