About The Event
This is your chance to feel the freedom of a delicate boat powered just by you, gliding over the Lagan, and you will see Belfast from a new angle!
Arrive and see the range of boats and activity on offer at the club, and on the river. Try the rowing machine and learn the parts of the rowing movement before you get in the boat. Once afloat, take your first strokes with arms only, and progress to using the upper body and the legs, to move the boat. Learn skills to turn and to steer the boat, without going far from the club. The coach will be in a boat nearby, keeping you right.
Starting at 10am, there will be 4 places. 2 will be afloat in the first hour, and 2 in the second, and there will be other activity for the remainder of the time.
*Due to Covid the session will be in single boats, and if restrictions are not relaxed in time, we will run the sessions during June instead.
