Pricing for family groups consisting of parents/guardians and their children: £3.00 per person, capped at £10.00 for a family group of 4 or larger.

About The Event

Learn the fundamentals of how to paddle a canoe and then give the rapidly growing team sport of canoe polo a go in this fun introductory session. Women’s only session is also available from 3pm - 4.30pm - subject to demand.

On arrival you will be kitted out with all the necessary equipment and given a safety briefing and introduction. We will then hit the water and you will be taken through the fundamentals of paddling a canoe and for the final 30 mins we will have some more fun with an introduction to the team sport of Canoe Polo.

• The names and ages of each member of your group
• Identify any existing medical conditions
• What date and session time you want to book for
• If you prefer a women’s only session please state this

What's Included

A 90 minute canoeing session, a small portion of this time may be spent changing and receiving a quick safety briefing.
All specialist equipment including canoe, paddle, buoyancy aid, helmet
A BCU/UKCC qualified instructor

What to Bring

Old trainers or booties and a towel
Wetsuit if you have one or swim shorts/suits and base layers to keep warm
A full change of clothes
Food and snacks and warm or cold drinks for afterwards
Any medication you require

Suitability

  • Minimum age is 12yrs without parents or 8yrs with parents in water
  • All children under 18yrs must be accompanied by parent or guardian who must remain (on land or water) for the duration
  • All participants must to be able to swim

Directions to Location

Meet at Enagh Lough, Strathfoyle, Judges Road side. The entrance to the Lough is past the City of Derry Rugby Club on the right hand side.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your session time to maximise your time on the water.
